Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives (freebie) Oh My!!

I have updated What is in the Egg? to include black and white pages!!  Woohoo! My students love to play this game because I put the cards in easter eggs.  I love it because I can differentiate for each of my reading groups.  I have 4 baskets full of eggs (one for each of my groups) so it looks like they are playing the same game (but they are working on different skill levels).  We will be using it as a station this week and next week.  If you are interested, you can find it at TpT or TN.

I also created another freebie this week---my Super Spring Sentences!  My class needs extra practice identifying nouns, verbs, adjectives, and especially prepositions.  They can find them in a sentence when we work on it together. However, they have a hard time using them in a sentence independently.  I have color coded the cards so they will pick one of each and use them in a sentence.  You can grab it from TpT or from TN.  I hope it helps :)

I used Krista's awesome graphics to make this freebie so I am linking up with A Tale of 2 First Grades.  You really should head over there to grab some amazing freebies (that are all using Krista's graphics!!!)

Have a great week!!!

My New Favorite!

My students are loving Build A CVC Word Pizza.  My parent volunteer has been working with my students who are not blending yet.  She has them spell the word on the pizza with the toppings.  Then, they use a dry erase marker and a write/wipe pocket to practice sounding out the words.  They are doing so well and they are so excited (not frustrated) to make a pizza.  I heard one of my students ask if the pizzas were done baking in the oven :)  I love my volunteer!!!  I am using the play-dough words and the Roll, Say, Write boards as morning work or extras when stations are done.  If you want to check it out, then you can grab it here at TpT or here at TN.

I also made a freebie to go with it :)  When my students have finished working on a vowel, they can play Where's the Chef? at their reading station for fluency practice :)  I love this game!!!!!  You can find it at TpT or TN.

I hope you love it as much as I do,
